StoGuard is a water-based air and moisture barrier system ideal for all types of construction. A fluid-applied system, StoGuard forms a fully-adhered seamless monolithic air and moisture barrier on the exterior wall, protecting against moisture intrusion and unwanted air movement.

What is acrylic stucco?

Acrylic stucco is made up of acrylic resins and/or polymers, sand and crushed quartz- sand being the only shared material between acrylic and traditional stucco. Acrylic stucco actually resembles gritty paint. It’s also known as elastomeric stucco, synthetic stucco or even exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS).

How long does synthetic stucco last?

Most newer homes with exterior stucco have an acrylic-polymer finish, which will expand and contract with the weather. This keeps cracks to a minimum and means the stucco can easily last up to 50 years before needing to be repaired.

Sto BTS® Plus is a one-component, polymer-modified, cement based material used as an adhesive and base coat in Sto Insulated Wall Claddings, including StoTherm® ci. It is especially designed to provide for the recommended minimum 1/16″ base coat thickness in a single application.

Which is better EIFS or stucco?
