What is StoGuard?
StoGuard is a water-based air and moisture barrier system ideal for all types of construction. A fluid-applied system, StoGuard forms a fully-adhered seamless monolithic air and moisture barrier on the exterior wall, protecting against moisture intrusion and unwanted air movement.
Can you spray STO?
Sto Gold Fill®, Sto Gold Coat® and Sto EmeraldCoatTM all come in 5 gallon pails and can be spray applied. They can be used under brick, vinyl and cement-board siding and stone. Sto Guard® provides significant improvements over paper and fabric building wraps and rubberized, solvent based membranes.

Sto Gold Coat is a code recognized, vapor permeable fluid-applied membrane designed for application under ci wall systems. Sto Gold Coat is a sheathing treatment which is part of the StoGuard air barrier and moisture barrier family of products.
What is sto stucco?
StoPowerwall™ Stucco is a controlled blend of Portland cement, fibers, and chemical additives. StoPowerwall™ Stucco, when combined with sand and water at the jobsite, performs like traditional stucco.
What are EIFS panels?
Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is an exterior wall cladding that utilizes rigid insulation boards on the exterior of the wall sheathing with a plaster appearance exterior skin.

What is acrylic stucco?
Acrylic stucco is made up of acrylic resins and/or polymers, sand and crushed quartz- sand being the only shared material between acrylic and traditional stucco. Acrylic stucco actually resembles gritty paint. It’s also known as elastomeric stucco, synthetic stucco or even exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS).
How long does synthetic stucco last?
Most newer homes with exterior stucco have an acrylic-polymer finish, which will expand and contract with the weather. This keeps cracks to a minimum and means the stucco can easily last up to 50 years before needing to be repaired.
What is Sto BTS Plus?
Sto BTS® Plus is a one-component, polymer-modified, cement based material used as an adhesive and base coat in Sto Insulated Wall Claddings, including StoTherm® ci. It is especially designed to provide for the recommended minimum 1/16″ base coat thickness in a single application.
Which is better EIFS or stucco?
The fiberglass layer provides more durability, even against hard blows from weather. EIFS is notably lighter than traditional stucco, however. It is 80-percent less heavy than stucco, but it has a higher R-value, coming in between 4 and 5.6, which is notably higher than the 0.20 R-value of regular stucco.
