Tufts Emergency Dental Clinic is open Monday through Friday, 9–10:30 a.m. and 1–2:30 p.m. Check-in time starts at 8:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. (30 minutes prior to clinical session). Please do not arrive earlier.

Does Tufts University School of Dental Medicine have an orthodontic program?
The postgraduate Orthodontic program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is a two-year program that emphasizes the clinical aspects of the specialty and awards a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. A student/resident also may choose to take a three-year program leading to a certificate and master of science degree.

Does MassHealth cover orthodontics?
MassHealth only covers orthodontic care for patients under the age of 21 pending prior-approval. We cannot take transfer cases (patients who already have braces on) from another practice. Delta Dental of Massachusetts requires prior-approval before starting orthodontic treatment.
