How do I check my data usage on Viasat?
Once logged into My Viasat, one of the sections to appear on your dashboard will be Data. Select the down arrow in the lower right corner to display your data usage information. Most Unlimited plans have the option to buy more high-speed data. Please check My Viasat to see if this option is available for your plan.
Is Viasat really unlimited data?
Both Viasat and HughesNet offer plans with “unlimited data.” (The “unlimited” refers to the amount of monthly data you can use.) While both satellite providers do technically allow you to use as much data as you like, they still come with data caps or thresholds (more on that below).
How many GB is Viasat?
With a sizable 200 GB data cap and download speeds of up to 50 Mbps, it’s fast enough to support multiple users at once. By comparison, Viasat’s entry-level plan is the Unlimited Bronze 12 plan, which isn’t considered high-speed internet.
What speed does Viasat slow down to?
1 to 5 Mbps
If you have a Viasat unlimited plan, you can’t purchase more data. But if you go over your unlimited plan’s priority data cap, your internet speeds might be slowed during busier times. That’s different from a Viasat Liberty plan, which automatically slows your internet speed to 1 to 5 Mbps if you go over your data cap.
How do I increase my Viasat Internet speed?
The best way to get good speeds is to be close to the router. So if you can be online in close proximity to the router, connect to it via an Ethernet cable instead of going wireless. This will also ease the congestion on your wireless network. Do it with as many devices as possible.
Why is Viasat WIFI so slow?
The most common reason subscribers on a data capped plan experience slow speeds is the monthly data allowance has been exceeded. Access won’t be blocked; speeds will be restricted and significantly slower. Log into My Viasat to see how much data you have used and how much is available for the current billing period.
