What SketchUp to use for woodworkers?
SketchUp Pro
For woodworking, it is recommended that you use a Desktop version of SketchUp instead of the web based version. We recommend using SketchUp Pro and that is the version used in the course. However, there is an older version of the free desktop application still available, SketchUp Make 2017.
How many days it will take to learn SketchUp?
It depends on person to person…but an average student can learn SketchUp tools in 10 classes say 1class every 2days… so about 20days… And to become proficient, i don’t think anyone can answer this question… It depends on person how much they practice… And any one can only teach you SketchUp tools with some examples…
How can I speed up SketchUp?

Wherever possible, try to use simple bevels rather than curves. Check number of entities in an object by triple clicking, or by turning on hidden geometry.
