What is LUSL?
London Universities Sports Leagues (LUSL) is a pan-London sports competition for higher education institutions within the BUCS framework. Launched in 2012, LUSL targets the students who want to compete against other universities but not on a national or regional BUCS level.
What is Bucs hockey?
BUCS Hockey. Hockey is the second largest team sport within British College University Sport (BUCS) with around 550 men’s and women’s teams playing between October and March. All matches take place on a Wednesday as part of the BUCS programme with the finals for the higher tiers to be played at BUCS Big Wednesday.

How long is a Bucs hockey match?
HOC 8.2 All other leagues and knockout competitions A match shall consist of two periods of 35 minutes and a half-time interval of no more than 10 minutes. Teams shall change ends at half-time.
Where can I find Bucs fixtures?
You can do this by navigating to the relevant Sport Community and finding the team amongst the Teams section and clicking on the team name. This will open the Team Hub below in a pop up box. Next, simply click on the Fixtures button and you will be able to auto-filter to their fixtures.
How many Bucs leagues are there?
With over 40 Men’s leagues and 20 Women’s leagues, including the top-tier Women’s National League, across the UK there is a league suitable for all abilities and experience levels.
Is there an age limit for BUCS?
RUU 1.7 Players must meet the minimum age requirement set out by their institution/Playing Entity’s Home Nation for playing senior rugby, in addition to meeting the minimum age for BUCS competitions outlined in REG 4.1. These are: England: Players must be 18 years of age. Wales: Players must be 18 years of age.
Can international students play in BUCS?
REG 4.1. 5 Be a player who is permitted by the International or National Governing Body of the sport concerned to participate in BUCS competition alongside any other competition in that sport.
