Why are aero wheels faster?

These aero wheels are fast in two ways. First, their smooth airfoil shapes pass through the air a lot more cleanly than a box-section rim. The tyre is the leading edge and splits the air. A shallow box-section rim can’t do this, so air behind it is turbulent, causing more drag.

What are CDs made of?

You will need to remove your cassette to install the Aero Disc Cover. Cassette removal tools are sold separately. When you race with a disc wheel, you’ll need a 90-degree pump adapter to access your valve with a standard pump such as the Silca presta adapter.

Can I use Loctite on my disc covers?

Disc covers are not intended for continuous training use. Remove covers between races. DO NOT use Loctite on fasteners. Loctite will disintegrate the cover material and cause fasteners to pull through. AeroJacket Disc Covers take 2-3 business days (M-F) to fabricate.
