What is the highest rank in Venturing?

Summit
The highest rank in Venturing, Summit, goes to those Venturers who have matured in their personal direction, skills, and life competencies, and who have accepted the responsibility to mentor others and serve their communities in a lasting way.

What is a Venturing crew?

A Venture crew is the same as a Boy Scouts troop, but with a larger focus on high-adventure activities, first aid, and leadership training. It is only one of two co-ed scouting programs, and since Venturing crews are typically smaller, Venturers also do more personal events, like a game night or bowling.

Can a venture scout earn Eagle?

Can a Venturer or Sea Scout earn the Eagle Scout award? Yes. Any youth (boy or girl) who earns First Class rank in Scouts BSA may transfer primary membership to Venturing or Sea Scouts and continue to work on Eagle Scout requirements.

How long does it take to earn the Summit Award?

Check the rank requirements – you’ll need 6 months in a leadership position for each Pathfinder and Summit. If you stay focused I don’t see why it can’t be earned in 2 years for an active crew. Venturers have up to age 21 to get their Summit Award unlike boy scouts which is 18.

Do Venturers earn merit badges?

It is important for Venturing and Sea Scout leaders to understand that Boy Scout advancement procedures must be followed. So eligible Venturers or Sea Scouts who are working on Boy Scout advancement (but not Venturers or Sea Scouts who are not doing so) may earn and be awarded merit badges.

Venturing – The Eagle Scout rank can be earned as a Venturer. The Scout must achieve the First Class rank in a traditional troop to continue the rest of the requirements in a Venturing crew.
