What do Tiger Scouts do?
Tiger Scouts is an exciting scouting program for first grade youth ready to get going! Tigers do stuff – lots of stuff – and all with their adult partners. This program is intended to open up the world to inquisitive minds along with the caring guidance of adults.
What activities can Scouts not do?
The following activities are not permitted within The Scout Association:
- Towing of inflatables behind powered watercraft (eg banana boating)
- Bungee jumping.
- Hitch hiking.
- Knife throwing.
- Archery Tag and other combat style archery activities.
Why should I join Cub Scouts?
Cub Scouting helps to support your family by providing ready-made opportunities for you and your son to do things together. Cub Scout-age boys benefit developmentally from belonging to a group of boys their own age. Through this sense of belonging, boys build self-esteem and learn to get along with others.

What is a Tiger Scout?
Tiger Scouts are first grade boys and girls. To participate in Cub Scouts, Tigers must have an adult partner attend all meetings with them. Tiger Scout requirements explore topics such as nature, games, teamwork, and healthy eating.
How do I get the Tiger Cub Scout badge?
Once a boy, or all the boys in a den, earn their Tiger Cub badge, it should be presented to the scout’s adult partner at a pack meeting, who then presents it to the boy. The badge is sewn on the left pocket of the Tiger Scout uniform. The den activities and Go See It events should be completed with the entire den.
