Fight is a keyword action introduced in Innistrad. The word appears in a phrase like “[Cardname] fights target creature.” and it means that both creatures deal damage equal to their Power to each other. Cards using fight appear primary in green and secondary in red. They carry the flavor of an altercation.
Is fighting noncombat damage?

Can you fight a creature with protection?
In the case of protection, a creature with protection from the source setting up the fight can’t be targeted by it; a creature with protection from the other creature but not the fight effect (e.g. if you use Ulvenwald Tracker to make a red creature fight a creature with protection from red) can still be made to fight.
Do fighting creatures tap?
