What are Unison pastels made of?
Unison Colour is a family run business in the heart of the Northumberlnd National Park close to the Scottish border in the UK. Their pastels are handmade which makes them seem expensive but the colours are made from pure pigments, with each one rolled by hand.
Are Panpastels toxic?
All PanPastel colors have been tested for toxicity to ASTM / ACMI (Art & Craft Materials Institute) standards. All colors carry the ACMI AP* (no health labeling required) seal. In addition, PanPastel colors are low dust. So many artists find that they are easier & less messy to use.
Are Unison pastels lightfast?
Our pastel colour is faithfully lightfast and again this is due to the real pigment content. Traditional pigments have stood the test of time and show very little evidence of fading or impairment*. *always store pastels and your artwork in dry conditions!
